Safety Objects

The children will identify objects that keep us safe to learn that God is our Refuge.

Crayons or colored markers

DURATION:

Approximately 10 minutes

 

PREPARATION:

Print one handout for each child. Place a handout and crayons at each child’s place.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

As the children arrive, ask them to color the objects that keep us safe.

Application:
A “refuge” is something that provides safety. What do the following objects protect us from?

Umbrella: rain, snow, etc.
Tent: bad weather, cold/heat, etc.
Bible: evil, sin, etc.
Traffic light: car accidents, injury, pain, etc.
House: the weather
Helmet: injury

Psalm 91 tells us that God is our ultimate Refuge- He perfectly provides safety for His children.
