This lesson will let children know how much it pleases God when we
talk with Him through prayer.
|AS KIDS ARRIVE (10 minutes)
| As the children arrive have them sit on the floor facing
you. Ask them to raise their hands if they can think of a way to talk
to someone that isn't in the same room with them. If the kids need
help suggest things like phones, letters, e-mails, or maybe even shouting.
Then ask them if they have any ideas on how we can talk to God.

|PRAYER/SNACK (10 minutes) Further
|Start by praying to God and thanking Him for His loving
kindness and for all the good things He provides. We should take time
each day to talk with God and sing songs of worship to Him.
|As the children wait to be picked up, talk to them about
the many different ways in which we can pray. We can pray when we
are standing, walking, kneeling, bowing, or singing. We can pray quietly
when we are lying down in bed. We can pray with our hands together
or with outstretched arms. We can pray in the morning, before meals,
and even at night.
|If you yell really loudly, will God hear you better? Come
back next week to find out.
