1/2 cup salt
1 cup flour
1 tablespoon cream of tartar
1 tablespoon oil
1 cup water
food coloring
What to do: Combine ingredients in a saucepan.
Heat gently, stirring all the time. When the dough has a good
consistency, take it off the heat and allow to cool.
PAPER MACHE
You will need: 1 cup flour
2 cups water
2 tablespoons salt
What to do: Combine ingredients and mix into a thick paste. Use strips of newsprint dipped in the mixture to create a shell.
WHITE GLUE
You will need: 1 cup flour
1 1/2 cups water
1/3 cup sugar
1 teaspoon viinegar
What to do: Put flour, sugar, and 1 cup of water into a small pan. Mix until you have a thick paste. Then, add the rest of the water and vinegar and mix thouroughly. Heat mixture over low heat until it begins to thicken. Let it cool and pour glue into an airtight jar until ready to use.
