What we learned:
Today, children learned that God is a
just God and nothing can escape Him. Life may not seem fair, but
God is. He rewards obedience and punishes sin. As a result
of studying about God’s just nature, children will ask for
God's forgiveness and for His help to avoid sinning. (Scripture used: Genesis 19:14-26, Numbers 20:2-12, Romans 14:10b-12, Hebrews 4:13) |

Memory Work:
“‘For I am a great King,’ saith the LORD of hosts, ‘and my name
is dreadful among the heathen.’” Malachi 1:14 KJV
Practice this verse several times with your child during the week. This will not only help him or her remember the verse, but it will also help to reinforce what he or she learned during class. |

Suggested Parent/Child Activity:
Play a game of Consequences with your
child or with the entire family. The leader will call out either
good or bad actions such as, "I study hard for a test at school"
or "I cheat on a test at school." The other players will
shout out if the action will have good or bad consequences. Depending
on the age of the group you can take turns being the leader.
After the game, discuss how all of our actions either good or bad
will have consequences.
Read Romans 14:11-12 and Hebrews 4:13. Explain that we will receive
consequences for the sin and rewards for the good when we stand
before God’s judgment seat one day. |

Daily Prayer:
Teach us O Lord to keep our ways pure and
to follow Your laws, for Your laws are good; let us delight in them.
Please forgive us for the sins we commit, keep us from disgrace and
let us long to do what is right. Amen. |
