What we learned:
Today, in our second lesson on the parable
of the sower, we saw how seeds that fell on rocky places are like
people that have hard hearts and little faith in God. When life gets
a little rocky, their Christian walk quickly withers and dies. If
things get tough, they give up. When trouble comes they quickly abandon
their relationship with Jesus. They worry more about men, than they
do about God. |

Memory Verse:
"Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation"
Mark 16:15
Practice this verse several times with your
child during the week. This will not only help them remember the verse,
it will also help to reinforce what they learned during class. |

Suggested Parent/Child Activity:
Place good soil in one cup and rocks in
a second cup. Plant grass seed in both cups and water the seeds through
out the week. Monitor the growth of the seeds in both cups, which
seeds grow better? Which seeds have deeper roots? Compare the growth
of the grass seeds and their root systems with true spiritual growth
verses superficial faith. |

Daily Prayer:
Dear Lord, please keep or hearts soft and
full of love. Let your words sink deep into our souls and let us follow
you all of our days. Let our faith be strong and allow us to weather
the storms of life. Let us grow closer to you each and every day. |
