What we learned:
God knows we have a lot to learn and that
we may not understand everything in the Bible. God wants us to make
the effort to learn more about Him by reading our Bibles and by praying.
God will gladly give us knowledge and understanding if we seek Him.
There are some people that have no desire to learn more about God,
these people are like the seeds that fell on the path in the parable
of the sower. |

Memory Verse:
"Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation"
Mark 16:15
Practice this verse several times with your
child during the week. This will not only help them remember the verse,
it will also help to reinforce what they learned during class. |

Suggested Parent/Child Activity:
Go to the park or nearby woods and take
a hike. As you walk along the path enjoying the beauty that God has
created ask your child why the grass doesn’t grow on the path.
Listen to their answer, if they haven't already figured out the answer,
mention that all the foot traffic on the path makes it nearly impossible
for the grass to grow. Tie this into the growth of our spiritual lives
by stating that worldly obsessions can crowd out the spiritual things
in our lives. We should take time each day to listen for the small
still voice of God. We can accomplish this by reading the bible, praying
and worshiping God each day. Be thankful for all God's blessings and
be thankful that He wants to spend time with each of us. |

Daily Prayer:
Dear Lord, please keep us from becoming
busy with the things of this world, help us keep our focus on you.
Lord, teach us your ways and make our paths straight, let us not serve
to the left or the right but rather stay on the path that you set
before us. Fill our minds with wisdom and our hearts with love. Show
us how to share your love with those around us. |
