What we learned:
Your child had learned we cannot get to Heaven on our own, but it is a free gift. Also, your child learned that we are all sinners, and this sin is keeping us from having a relationship with God in Heaven. God must punish this sin, which is eternal death. Today, your child discovered that Jesus is God's answer to our sin. He died on the cross for us, and purchased our place in Heaven. (Scripture used: John 3:1-21) |

Memory Verse:
"But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." Romans 5:8 KJV
Have your child look up this verse in his or her Bible and practice it several times during the week. This will help him or her remember the verse and it will also help to reinforce what he or she learned during class. |
