What we learned:
Today, we learned that God is a God of miracles
and His power and might are revealed in so many ways. No one but God
could part a sea. He also does many powerful things for us each day.
He brings the sun up in the morning, he showers the earth with rain
and makes the trees grow. He even created gravity to keep us from
accidentally flying into outer space.
(Scripture used: Exodus 14:5-31) |

Memory Verse:
Blessed is the man who always fears the Lord, but he who hardens his
heart falls into trouble" Proverbs 28:14
Practice this verse again with your child
during the week. This will not only help them remember the verse,
but it will also help to reinforce what they learned during class. |

Suggested Parent/Child Activity:
Select one day this week to take a walk
with your child in a park or along a trail. As you do, talk about
the things you see and discuss how they are miracles from God. How
tall the trees grow without falling down, how birds find their way
back to their nest, how squirrels know to gather extra food to last
the long winter, and so on. Take turns spotting something, while the
other person must explain how or why it is truly a miracle. |

Daily Prayer:
Heavenly Father, You are truly an awesome
God, a God of power and might. Your miracles can be seen everywhere.
Thank You for the rain, the rising sun, for gravity, and all the other
miracles You perform every day just for me. Thank You Lord for working
miracles in my life, especially the miracle of your Son, Jesus who
came to save me. Amen. |
