What we learned:
Today, the children learned of the consequences
brought by disobedience to God, and how we benefit when we listen
and obey Him. Although Pharaoh was given many signs to know God was
in control, he did not fear Him. Instead his heart was hardened and
that led to disobedience and many plagues.

Memory Verse:
"Blessed is the man who always fears the Lord, but he who hardens
his heart falls into trouble" (Proverbs 28:14 NIV)
Practice this verse again with your child
during the week. This will not only help them remember the verse,
it will also help to reinforce what they learned during class. |

Suggested Parent/Child Activity:
Hard boil a few eggs this week, and let
your child show you how to tell the difference between a hard boiled
egg and a raw one. (When you spin the hard boiled egg, it will twirl
like a top, but the raw egg will not spin). Explain to your child
that the hard boiled egg is like having a hard heart. With a hard
heart, the devil can spin you around whenever he wants. But having
a soft heart for God, protects you from the devil's desires. |

Daily Prayer:
Dear Lord, thank you for giving me rules
to live by and to keep me safe. Please give me wisdom to follow your
ways and to live a life that is pleasing to you. Help me Lord to fear
you in a holy way, and not have a hard heart. Amen |
