What we learned:
Today, we learned how God protects us and
has a plan for each of our lives. We saw how God protected Moses from
the hands of Pharaoh in a very special way. Moses had no idea how
God was going to use him, but God knew. We use many things to protect
us, like helmets, gloves and heavy coats in the winter. People also
protect us from harm, such as firemen and lifeguards, but God's protection
is always there, even when we don't know it.

Memory Verse:
"My help comes from the Lord, maker
of heaven and earth" (Psalm 121:2 NIV)
Practice this verse several times with your
child during the week. This will not only help them remember the verse,
it will also help to reinforce what they learned during class. |

Suggested Parent/Child Activity:
As you are driving with your child this
week, count the number of different road signs that are there to keep
us safe. How many different signs can you find? Discuss each one as
time permits. What does the sign mean? How does the sign keep us safe?
Why is it important to follow the sign?
Make a game by starting with a list of safety signs, and then having
your child check them off as they are seen on the road. When all are
found, the game is won. |

Daily Prayer:
Father God, you created the heavens and
the earth, and everything belongs to you. Nothing happens except by
your will. Your mighty hand keeps us safe from harm, even when we
are not aware of the dangers around us. Dear Lord, thank you so much
for your protection, and help us to live for you according to the
special plans you have for our life. Amen |
