What we learned:
In today's lesson, children discovered that
Jesus deserves our worship and praise because of who He is and what
He came to earth to do for us. On Palm Sunday, the people shouted praises
of joy when they saw Jesus. What they didn't know was that He came
to free the people not from the Romans, but from their sins. Jesus
offers the gift of everlasting life. (Scripture used: Matthew 21:1-11) |

Memory Verse:
“Hosanna to the Son of David!
Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!” Hosanna in
the highest” Matthew 21: 9b
Memorize this verse with your child. Discuss what it means worship
and praise Jesus. What does it mean to come in the name of the Lord? |

Suggested Parent/Child Activity:
To celebrate Easter this year you can
do something a little different with coloring eggs. Before dipping
the eggs into the colored dye, use a wax crayon to write short messages
on the eggs. The messages should be reasons to praise our Lord Jesus.
Examples:
Jesus is Lord of all
Jesus Loves Me!
The Lord is my shepherd
Jesus is the Son of God,
etc.
The crayon will not be affected by the dye, so you will still see
the message after dipping the eggs. Use this time to show how thankful
you are for all Jesus provides. |

Daily Prayer:
Dear God, You are worthy to be praised.
With Your mighty hand, You made the heavens and the earth, and then
created us in Your own image. But most of all, You love us so much
that You gave Your only Son, Jesus to die for us. Blessed is He, who
comes in the name of the Lord. Amen. |
