What we learned:
Today, we learned how God has great things
in store for all of us as we live a life that is pleasing to Him.
We also learned that Mary, the mother of Jesus lived such a life,
and that is why God chose Mary from all the other virgins to be the
mother of His only Son. |

Memory Verse:
"Therefore, as the elect of God,
holy and beloved, put on bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of
mind, meekness, longsuffering" Colossians 3:12 KJV
Practice this verse several times with your
child during the week. This will not only help them remember the verse,
it will also help to reinforce what they learned during class. |

Suggested Parent/Child Activity:
This week with your child, create a very
special Christmas card for someone in your church or a family member
who is pleasing to God. Start by agreeing on one person who you
feel most
exhibits the qualities from this week's memory verse. (showing mercy,
kindness, humility, meekness and longsuffering.) Inside the card
let this person know how much you can see these qualities in their
lives, and wish them a Merry Christmas.
Note: This activity carries greater meaning if the person
is not someone you would normally exchange Christmas cards or gifts
with.

Daily Prayer:
Father God, thank you for showing your love
to me in so many ways. Help me now to be a complete person, by being
pleasing to my family and friends, and especially to you. Let me be
like Mary, whom you chose to be the mother of Jesus. Amen. |
