Stick Puppets
by Craig
Stick puppets can be used for many short skits or role plays. Instead of the kids reading their parts,
let them act them out with these simple but exciting puppets.

What you will do:
Cut wood molding or sticks into 6" lengths. Smooth off any rough edges with sandpaper. Use a black marker to draw legs and faces. Color in pants and shirts with colored markers. Use scrap material or construction paper to make dresses and other accessories. Hair can be made from yarn or as shown above from strips of paper stapled to the top of the head. Stick puppets are inexpensive, easy and fun to make. You can also make them as a class project. Be creative!
