Verse Pennant
by Mike
An excellent bible craft kids can use to remember their favorite verse from the Bible.

Materials:
Each child will need:
A piece of ribbon 3/4" - 1" wide
by 12 3/4" long.
A piece of white felt 12 3/4" wide
by 31" long.
Multicolored markers

Duration:
Approx. 15 minutes

Topics:

Memory Work, Prayer

Target Age:

Grades 1 2 3 4
What you will do:
Before class cut a piece of felt into a pennant shape, 12 3/4" wide & 31" long. Glue or staple the ribbon onto the felt at the wide end. In “bubble” type letters, write out the verse reference. This should take up most of the space.

What they will do during class:
Let them color in the bubble letters that you had previously outlined. If the children are old enough, you can let them cut the felt and attach the ribbon. This is also a good project to do at the end of the school year. Select a verse on friendship, then, let them sign each other’s pennants. The pennant reminds them to pray for their friends and makes a wonderful memory. Children can also customize their pennant by using favorite team colors or their room colors.
