1. There was an old farmer who noticed a flock of
birds in the middle of winter.

3. He knew his barn was warm and able to provide
a safe place to stay.

2.They were cold and looking for shelter. A winter storm was coming and they could
freeze to death.

4. So he opened the barn doors. But the birds were afraid, and would not go in.

5. He had to find a way to tell the birds, or show
them what they must do to be saved. He finally
realized what he needed to do.
