Closing Prayer

Return to Lesson

Like the Opening Prayer, the Closing Prayer is equally important. The closing prayer can give the kids an opportunity to thank God for snacks and other blessings. The closing prayer needs to be brief. Remember, the children are probably anxious to dig into the snacks, or to go on to the next phase of their day.

The Closing Prayer should always include the following:

1. Praise to God for the chance to learn about Him and be part of the family of God.
2. Safety and health for the children.
3. That others may see Jesus in our lives.
4. If having snacks at this time, thank Jesus for the snacks and his many other blessings.
